Voice: Almost 35% of the candidates were not allowed to the election of governors

Almost 35% of the candidates were refused registration in the governor's elections in Russia. This is more than in past years, the Voice report says .

In September, the governors will be elected in the 21st region. 147 people tried to nominate their candidacy for them - one and a half times less than five years ago. The reasons for such a decrease “Voice” calls the municipal filter that cannot be overcome without the support of the authorities, the fear of repression and the general loss of attractiveness of elected posts.

Almost all applicants were proposed in parties. Only 27 people went in order of self -nomination. Due to the double barrier-the need to collect the signatures of voters and municipal deputies, which they do not climb the election room later-they did not initially have a chance of registration, writes Voice. Experts note that such a barrier usually overcome either incumbents or technical candidates.

As a result, regional election commission registered 96 candidates. The “apple” lost all three, the Communist Party of the Communist Party of the 21st of 21, “Fair Russia” - three out of 16. Of all the self -nominates, the stage of registration passed only three - in the Trans -Baikal Territory. Two of them, whom the "voice" called "technical" have already starred .
