Moscow's Tagansky District Court fined Telegram four million rubles under the article on failure to remove prohibited information (Part 2 of Article 19.34 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). This was reported by the Telegram channel of the courts of general jurisdiction of Moscow.
It is not reported what information exactly was the reason for the fine.
Four million is the maximum fine for legal entities under this article.
In recent years, major Internet services have regularly faced fines for failing to remove “prohibited information.” Last year, TikTok was fined for refusing to remove “LGBT propaganda,” and Twitch was fined for failing to remove an interview with Alexey Arestovich.
