A criminal case has been opened against the neighbor of the St. Petersburg conductor Viktor Lukyanov under the article on torture (Article 117 of the Criminal Code). This was reported by Fontanka with reference to the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee for the city.
Komsomolskaya Pravda also reported this, citing Lukyanov himself. According to the publication, on August 14, the conductor went to the investigator, from where he sent journalists a video.
"Many thanks to the investigator of the Kalininsky District Investigation Department, Nikita Vitalyevich Borisov. He listened to me attentively, wrote everything down, explained everything. Now this scoundrel will be punished. I think he won't attack me now. Now I'm sitting here, breathing in front of you, literally everything hurts," Lukyanov said.
According to the article on torture, the 59-year-old neighbor of the conductor could face up to three years of forced labor or imprisonment for the same term.
It becameknown on August 12 that Viktor Lukyanov had been beaten. Photos of the man with bruises appeared online. According to the conductor, his neighbor had repeatedly had complaints because Lukyanov collected aluminum cans and handed them in for scrap metal as an additional income to his pension of almost eight thousand rubles. He spent the money he earned on food for his pets.
Lukyanov claims that his neighbor attacked him as he was exiting the elevator on August 9, and before that, he tried to beat him up the day before. Then the conductor managed to spray pepper spray and run away. Earlier, the neighbor beat up a man in April of this year. Lukyanov was diagnosed with a closed craniocerebral injury, concussion, bruises and abrasions.
Viktor Lukyanov has been known in St. Petersburg for almost 10 years due to his kindness towards fare dodgers on public transport. The conductor handed out candy to "hares" and decorated the transport for the holidays.
