Low-cost carrier sells annual subscriptions for unlimited flights and doesn't promise members seats on planes

Low-cost airline Wizz Air has launched a “Fly as much as you can” promotion, offering customers an unlimited number of flights for an annual fee of €499 – about 50,000 in roubles. However, as the BBC has discovered , the terms of the promotion state that the airline does not guarantee availability of seats on flights.

The airline's website says that the subscription can be used for flights to Europe, Asia, North Africa and the Middle East. The desired flight can be booked three days before departure, paying 10 euros for it. You can fly no more than three times a day. The promotion ends on August 16, and the subscription can be used from September 25. After the 16th, the annual subscription will cost 600 euros.

In total, Wizz Air plans to sell 10,000 subscriptions, distributed among the airports from which the airline operates flights. BBC journalists checked several of these airports and found out that subscriptions there have already been sold out.

The subscription purchase agreement states that the availability of seats on the plane for its holder is not guaranteed and depends on several “internal and external factors.”

Wizz Air has previously been criticised in the UK for poor customer service and flight delays. In June, the airline was named the worst country for flight delays for the third year in a row, the BBC reports. For example, last year, Wizz Air flights from UK airports were delayed by an average of 31 minutes. Leading UK consumer group Which? also named the airline the worst for customer service.
