The reasons for the dismissal, however, as well as the features of Ilnitsky’s work in this position, are unknown.

The 65-year-old Ilnitsky was appointed adviser to the Minister of Defense in March 2015. For 9 years at the post, he managed to annoy many Z-bloggers who were satisfied with his dismissal.

“I am very satisfied that this is useless from the point of view of achieving the desired result, as I said above, the“ misunderstanding in the stripes ”will cease to interfere with others to work. And it is very good that he will no longer be “authoritatively” to share his “brilliant” thoughts in the industry in which he, unfortunately, does not understand anything, ” said the Z-blogger Yuri Podolyak after dismissal.

The “Substantist Notepad” recalled the adviser only as the one who advised “read the news once a week”. At the same time, “Military Volunteer” Roman Alekhin noted that Ilnitsky will have no one to replace. According to him, the dismissal “leads to an understanding that the Department of Information and Mass Communications, which previously submitted to the fact of the first deputy minister Tsalikov, is still the end.”

Political scientist Alexei Pilko in the Telegram channel “Pint of Reason” briefly commented on personnel changes to the Ministry of Defense: “What a great news”. The exact reason for the dismissal has not yet been publicly voiced. The only thing that the MIG of Russia Telecal channel announced was that Ilnitsky “left his luxurious office in a large building on Frunze” for a long time-“a couple of weeks after the resignation of Shoigu”.

It was the ex-minister of defense Sergei Shoigu who brought Ilnitsky to the department. Before that, he graduated from MIFT, then worked at the research institute and developed weapons. After the collapse of the USSR, he for some time, together with former colleagues Sergei Derevyanko and Andrei Hertsev, worked in the AST publishing house, and then in Vagrius.

In 2002, he was trained at the Moscow School of Political Studies, introduced 12 years later in the register of “foreign agents”. According to Meduza, it was during his studies that he went to the United States and was inspired by a model of Western democracy. From 2000 to 2006, Ilnitsky was one of the heads of the Open Russia Interregional Public Organization Mikhail Khodorkovsky. He oversaw the school of public policy-leadership and regional projects-that he still recalls Z-publicity. In the spring of 2005, Mikhail Khodorkovsky and Plato Lebedev was sentenced, and already in 2006 Ilnitsky moved to United Russia.

He was invited there by the future governor of the Moscow Region Andrei Vorobyov. Until 2012, Ilnitsky was the deputy head of the Central Executive Committee, where he answered "for ideological questions." According to one of the Meduza interlocutors, it was he who was one of the authors of the EP slogan in the State Duma of 2007 - “Party of Real Affairs”. During his work in the party, Ilnitsky became close to Vorobyov, and he introduced him to Shoigu. Soon, the future adviser to the head of the Ministry of Defense began playing for the Shoigu clan “The role of a consultant, concoor, creative”, helped him as the governor of the Moscow Region, and only then led Vorobyov’s election campaign. Thanks to this, he himself became deputy chairman of the Government of the Moscow Region, from where in 2015 he went directly to the Ministry of Defense.

Doctor of Economics, Professor Nikita Krichevsky claims that Ilnitsky could have expelled Vorobyov from the team after "how the FSB spotted his car at the entrance to the US Embassy." Regarding his work in a new position, the economist also speaks out unequivocally: “I have proved about the rottenness and incompetence of Ilnitsky many times when he was an adviser.” Later Krichevsky deleted the post with criticism from his telegram channel.

As other friends of Ilnitsky later said, he initially perceived the transition as “lowering” and “honorary link”, since his career was connected with the management of party and regional politics, publicity. However, he soon realized that work as an adviser to Shoiga was suitable for him, especially in the conditions of a changing political situation. It was from the presentation of the Ilnitsky Ministry of Defense that the army of one of the key public structures and the basis for the technological progress of the country declared the army. One of the other significant projects that he contributed is the Army International Arms Exhibition, which remained popular for several years. The main achievement of Ilnitsky still remains the main symbol of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine-Z. After the start of the war, sources of Meduza reported that it was the PR block of the Ministry of Defense, headed by Ilnitsky, suggested using this symbol.

In 2024, Ilnitsky, as a graduate of the MIPT, prepared the course “Actual Strategies”. The first seminar was devoted to the development of “personalized biological weapons” in the United States, the decline of Western science and the topic of “subordination of the mental sphere”. Students and university employees did not appreciate the course, one of them in the commentary of Novo-Europe described Ilnitsky as a “moron with schizoid ideas”, the existence of which he had not even suspected before.

In general, a military expert consistently promotes the idea of ​​a “mental war”. In his opinion, the West is trying to attack Russia using “mental infections” and “acts of mental aggression”:

- Let us recall our story: we recently lost one such war, having lost the whole country - the USSR. For its destruction, the mechanism of the mental war was used. The worldview choice, despite the external influence and betrayal of a part of the elites, we consciously or unconsciously, but did ourselves, exchanging the values ​​of the socialist hostel for jeans, chewing, freedom of movement, peace worldwide and the like ideological simulacols. Only then it became clear that this is a tragic mistake, but the country was already destroyed.

Ilnitsky is also sure that now "the mental sphere is becoming the area of ​​NATO operations - the most important operational domain." “It is the military of the USA and NATO that the task of transition from the information to cognitive-management dominance was set as a defining factor of the final strategic victory over the enemy,” he says.

He offers to fight them by developing and adopting a mental security strategy of Russia, as well as a “clear image of Victory”.
