A case of terrorist propaganda on the Internet (Part 2 of Article 205.2) has been opened against a resident of Omsk for “justifying Ukrainian terrorist organizations,” TASS reports , citing the regional FSB department.
According to security officials, in June 2023, the man posted a comment in support of the " Ukrainian paramilitary association " under a post with a video of the interrogation of a Russian prisoner of war on Telegram. No details were provided about the identity of the detainee or the content of the comment.
In July, it became known about a criminal case under the same article against a 22-year-old resident of the Omsk region due to comments in support of the "Freedom of Russia" legion and the "Russian Volunteer Corps". It is unclear whether the FSB has now reported the same case or a new one.

The list of articles under which those speaking out against the war are prosecuted is quite broad. The defendants in “anti-war cases” are often charged with hooliganism, vandalism, violence against government officials, and other violations.
