Blogger YokoBovich (Anna Bazhutova), sentenced to five and a half years for a stream about those killed in Bucha, is not being given antidepressants in Pretrial Detention Center No. 5 in Perm, her pen pal reported.
Bazhutova has prescriptions for antidepressants, the medications themselves were sent to her, but they are not given to her under the pretext of the psychiatrist's absence from work. Because of this, the blogger began to experience withdrawal symptoms: absent-mindedness, headaches, and nausea. In addition, the pretrial detention center employees communicate with prisoners, violating the internal regulations.
Bazhutova's sentence was handed down on June 5. The girl was found guilty under the article on "fakes" about the Russian army (paragraph "d" of Part 2 of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code). The reason for initiating a criminal case was a stream in which the blogger read out stories of Bucha residents, wrote on a piece of cardboard that 300 people in this city were killed by Russian soldiers, uttered the phrase "death to the Russian occupiers" and called for "killing" the "Russian people" guilty of this.
The convicted woman claims that she published the stream in April 2022, before the Russian Defense Ministry's version of events was published. Bazhutova later deleted the post, but in 2023 the video began to be distributed by the Telegram channel "Men's Legion".
In August 2023, Bazhutova was sent to a pretrial detention center. She said that she had been suffering from mental disorders for many years.
Bazhutova's partner said that he testified under torture: during interrogation, he stated that he supported the war in Ukraine and condemned the actions of his girlfriend. The young man explained that he was threatened with criminal charges and physical violence.
