The story of Sasha Kutas, the famous Minsk homeless, who, like thousands of his compatriots, did not escape the imprisonment under a political article

Minsk, metro station "Kamennaya Gorka", early morning. On the steps of one of the outputs, a beggar begins to work: a sign with a request to serve, a backpack - and a live rabbit. Many Minsk residents know this 64-year-old man: Alexander Kutas-homeless and Palitvyazen (from the Belarusian-political prisoner).

They come for someone, but people are used to living with this

The 2020 presidential elections in the country swept by BelAZ: according to the human rights organization Vasna, at least half a million people left Belarus. Hundreds of thousands sat on “days” - short terms, 1385 people (as of July 31, 2024) were recognized as political prisoners. For four years of repression in the country, 5133 political verdicts were issued. About 600 people were completely left for the deadline and was released, but the flywheel does not stop: the detention and landing continue, the deadlines are more.

“The nature of repression is intensifying,” says Anastasia Vasilchuk, human rights activist in Vasna. - Yes, there is no protest now. But there are old reasons for detention. The security forces every day process terabytes video shot during the protests of 2020, including from outdoor surveillance cameras. The program helps them identify people who are then brought to criminal liability. The deadlines now give huge ones: earlier for the arson of the relay cabinet on the railway they gave a maximum of 3 years in the colony, now it is “preparation of the terrorist attack” - both from 12 years and above. The security forces do not calm down. They say in direct text: if we calm down now, the protest mass will rise again and will already strangle us.

They are delayed by those who went abroad, but decided to return: only more than 200 people were brought to just last year. They delay in Russia, as happened with the administrator of the telegram channel “Vitebsk 97%” Yana Pinchuk, which was “accepted” in St. Petersburg, and was convicted for 12 years in Minsk.

“I say to everyone: if you saw yourself in the video or in the photo, leave,” says Anastasia Vasilchuk. - Once she persuaded: “Guys, no need to go back in any case, because a person with a common photo with you is now in a pre -trial detention center under investigation.” Things that human rights activists and journalists seem obvious to many do not reach. Rather, they reach only when something happens to them or relatives.

Among the political prisoners there are different gender, age, professional and social groups. 12% of prisoners are women. Young girls in prison learn to draw arrows in their eyes with matches. There are prisoners-prisoners: both Orthodox and Catholic. Teenage prisoners: Now six people are serving a sentence behind bars. There are former police officers, pensioners, people with chronic and incurable diseases.

But homeless?

"The harder the regime, the easier it is to sit"

Alexander Vladimirovich Kutas was born in Minsk. Dad, according to him, was not. Mom was deprived of parental rights for drunkenness. “My uterus was a bug,” he says (“bug” from criminal slang - thieves, thief, young prostitute). Little Sasha was sent to a boarding school. At the end of the nine grades, he went to the school with a specialty of plaster-machine-did not like it. He went over to the locksmith - did not like it. And then the commission on minors at the Minsk City Executive Committee arranged him to work: to do light -copies.

- These are now small cars, although you can print any documents. And before there were healthy cars, ammonia and drawings two to three meters long, can you imagine? - says Alexander, sitting on the grass near the metro. What the percentage of his stories is truth, and which is “thieves' romance” and fairy tales is difficult to imagine. - Since I am a youngster, I worked an hour less. Summer began, took to the Storodvorsky village council, work in a moonshine organization. Then a bottle of bread alcohol cost a ruble. Here I began to drink. At 16.

Then Sasha met "with one girl." She turned out to be the daughter of the head of the criminal investigation department of the city of Minsk and the granddaughter of the head of the State Planning Commission of the Republic of Belarus. Sanya, according to him, was called to live in this non -poor nomenclature family, but he refused.

- Grandfather wanted to arrange me at the Suvorov School. But he looked at what kind of races I [...] are: "No, Sanya, I will not help you."

But thanks to this acquaintance, Sasha had a special pass to the library of the State Planning Commission in the Government House, and he was able to read those books that were prohibited by ordinary mortals. And at the same time, a special pass to the cinema house appeared. “Under the Communists, all porn was cut out, and I watched a clean film. Have you watched Cleopatra? How many episodes? Two? And there were six of them, four cut out - porn. I saw him completely. I watched the “three musketeers”, a foreign one: there the servants wear tights to the princess, well, then you can guess ... ”

Alexander is now reading, while he is sitting on the steps with a sign and a rabbit. A couple of cheap novels are always in his backpack, along with a towel, a washcloth, soap and a pumice. And he carried the love of the weak floor through years and prison deadlines.

And according to Kutas, he had many deadlines: he spent more than 20 years, 15 convictions-then according to the 141st article (apartment theft), then for the 205th (just theft).

- I walked like a recidivist. The first time I was given four years, for the second - seven. It does not matter there whether you stole five cents or 500 rubles. When the article has changed, they have been dwelling for two years, they are sent to a special regime. We, like the tigers striped on it, are sitting in the same zone. The harder the mode, the easier it is to sit. Because the boys get with concepts, they sat more than once, they will support you. But now, sorry for the rudeness, there is no this camp solidarity, only the songs can be listened.

While he was sitting in the “red” zone, where the cops rule, found a couple of cents, paid men, and they made a working norm for him. “I - work? God forbid! "

He also had his own 15 minutes of fame: the Belarusian “Komsomolskaya Pravda” wrote about Kutas in the article “Beware of the Mating Adventurer”. And it was like that.

“Such Valentine lived in elephant, wrote an announcement: I will meet, they say, with a man. I called her, agreed to come. The store bombed: took the food - and culturally went out. He left half in the bushes, just in case: wine and other alcohol in those days were given out in coupons. Well, we meet, we went into the hut, I go through my ears: they say, I took the roasts, I decided to come to you. She has a cooperative apartment, she lives alone, not children, nobody. She makes dinner, I helped her clean the potatoes. “Sorry, there is no drink,” he says. She showed me the second room where I will sleep. In the evening, she watches the TV, reads magazines. And it does not lie down with me.

Well, I decided to bring her a shmon. He raised the sofa in his “my” room, take out two bundles. In one wedding album. She, according to her, was not married - where did he come from? In the second - champagne, liquor and vodka. There is no drink, right? Well, how can one not put such an ears? I do not care who to bomb.

The morning comes - I did not go to her. Maybe she was waiting for me, she was a woman, she needs a man. But I did not go. And for this squeamishness, for impudence I punished her. In the morning she left me the key, she left on business. I took all this swilled, plus imported teas there, soap is beautiful - I got well. Yes, and left. "

Kutas is distracted and shows me tattoos. One consists of words - "deadly blow." “I just didn’t beat anyone except women and youngsters. Could give either a slap in the face or under the cut, no more. Beat a woman? To spoil her face? This is not for me! "

He never had a family, only a roommate. “I am sitting in the camps, she needs a man - will she wait? Never in life! "

Nevertheless, the issue of sexual relations for Sasha is now relevant. Therefore, sometimes he goes to the bathhouse on Moscow, and not one: there is on the second floor the male and female branch, and below the souls. “I’m going with some girl, you yourself understand why.”

And what? It can afford. Serve, although in different ways, but has their own 50–70 rubles per day, Sanya has (this is 1750–2450 by Russian). Money - full pockets. Mostly.

The most fashionable homeless in the country

The latest presidential elections and Sasha moved. For only one 2021, he was thrown ten times on a “day” under an article on unauthorized picket on the surroundings - Minsk prison, consisting of a temporary detention center and a center for insulation of offenders. Before the trial, the detained person is in the IVS, after he can be transferred to the center or send further to the regions, to the regions.

But when Kutas was detained with Bel-Chervona-White, that is, opposition flowers, a poster of “Vyarnice to me Dzhazinism, Yunatvva to me Vyarnik, I Persha Kakhanna. Dapamazhitsy Forget Lager I Nyahai Zhlye People's RESPULIK Belarus ”*, it became clear: Sasha sat down for a long time.

It is to blame. He left the usual quarantine, turned to the boys and yelled: "Belarus is alive!" Everything, at once 50 days of the insulator.

“They have a room on the shift, square, there is the head of the institution, doctors sometimes sit on the side. He says to me:

- Have you got caught again?

- Hey, garbage, whom you are jumping, huh?

They beat with clubs so that mom do not grieve. ”

Sasha spent four months in IvS on the surroundings. They sentenced him to a year of a general regime in a fairly rare article by Criminal Code 342-2: "Repeated violation of the order of mass events." According to the same article, by the way, an art manager from Vitebsk Vladimir Bulavsky, who was given two years, was convicted. At the trial, Vladimir defended himself exclusively in Belarusian.

Since the day of stay in the pre -trial detention center is counted in the colony for 1.5 days, already at the end of September 2022, Alexander Kutas was released again.

“Doesn't it tell you anything?” - Sasha reaches out. On one of them, a bandage, in which a white-red-white pattern is vaguely guessed. - BCHB !

Although after the last imprisonment, Sasha does not climb into this bad policy. In the bandage, it stores a razor - cut veins. All hands in his drinks.

- Vienna I saw from the cops so as not to touch: they cannot take the opened department. They call an ambulance - and that’s all, I am a free person. In the worst case, they can come to the hospital with me. They take me to different: either ambulance, then some other. Everyone knows me there, they ask: "Where is your rabbit?" "Yes, with me."

Sasha’s rabbits had been for a long time, even before he became Palitvyaznoy. On a four-year-old video in the VK group "Stop scammers! Belarus »Kutas is already captured with a rabbit. There he is called the Sanya “hooligan”, then Sanya “lawyer”, but invariably - the most fashionable homeless of the country.

This is true, Kutas is a fashionista: then he will buy a jacket for 30 rubles for himself, then something else. He knows that on the "Mogilev" grandmas they sell socks and cowards Zadeshevo, you can buy for five rubles. And here, on the "stone hill", and all 12 are asked.

As for rabbits, this one is already the second in six months. Rabbit. She is two months old, she loves grass. Sasha pamper her with a pear or a banana.

- This more like girls than boys. She is afraid, but not me. You will be afraid of you, you will not smell with it, you are an enemy for her. She does not sit in the subway, runs along the steps of tuda-forth, ”says Sasha with the Belarusian accent, in which the usual“ Igor ”sounds like“ Ihar ”, and everyone walks“ tuda ”and“ here ”. - I look at her. All the same, he is returning to me.

Alexander sold one recent rabbit, the money was needed: bought for 35 rubles, and sold for 250. The most famous ward was called Laura. “Because she was born in France, from Paris, her opposition brought me. Rabbits were taken to Israel, the opposition, Belmo was removed from the eye, they gave 250 euros. ”

"I am a man, I need a woman for life"

Kutas lives in the office room of a multi -storey building, where it was arranged by Andrei, who lives in this entrance. About 30 to Andrei, and how much exactly, Sasha himself does not know. The guy is a hard worker, works in harmful production: where plastic bottles are produced. He went to Kutas himself, offered to move. There is water in the room, Andrei spent a socket, gave an extension cord to recharge the mobile phone. Alexander found the phone in the subway, downloaded two films there: “From sunset to dawn” and one more.

In gratitude for this, Sasha washes the entrance. Regularly buys Andrei gloves for work. Gives money: when there are five rubles, when 10, so that he will prepare for him. And he goes to Andrei to wash, even with his mother is familiar.

“My daily routine is this: I rise in the area of ​​six, as in the zone,” says Sasha. - I make a chifir for myself. The teapot bought a small one, so as not to ask Andrei. By the way, I read in a medical journal: tea, you need to drink at once, after six hours it begins to decline. I come from the house to the city center. I buy automatically for three rubles a liter of beer. I go to a paid toilet, give 90 kopecks. I finish beer there, Kuru, of course, in the toilet. I go down to the subway. I throw a token, but I don’t go through the turnstile, I go past the caretaker with my rabbit. Rarely when I am shmoned.

I sit in the transition to the Lenin Square subway. These shabolds, these shnri, drive and sometimes even cause cops ( Sasha talks about cleaners in the subway. - Approx. Aut. ). Bitch, what are you doing? I’ll sit down and leave, and you have a false challenge.

I come to the "stone hill", buy beer, drink. I turn on the muzon, go down to the transition. I give my mobile to recharge - for repairing a clock or another bench. This is free, everyone knows me. And I’m sitting here until 10-11 pm. ”

He does not drink vodka, according to Sasha. In one of the video in the VK group, he says that he was sitting in a treatment and labor dispensary. The LTP system in Belarus is considered the main method of combating Tuneyuda alcoholics-perhaps he really stopped. Records in "Stop scammers! For some reason, they ran into scammers, ”the honest thief Kutas is offended. “This is now I am such a chmoshnik with a rabbit, not like before.”

“I don’t give this to hell with this,” Kutas explains. - This comes: "Give 48 kopecks, not enough." - "What do you need?" - "On the hawthorn." I won’t give a damn! Why am I earning it, but he is not? "

Alexander does not issue a pension and will not issue: "the Communists do not take the money." The day of stay in the temporary detention center cost 18.5 rubles a couple of years ago, and Sasha had accumulated a debt to the state. But with the homeless, what is the demand?

And he also does not make a passport - he does not want. “I wrote in the Ministry of Internal Affairs to generally abandon citizenship. Well, why do I, bum, is this citizenship? If necessary, in the data bank, I hang. I can’t take a loan, nothing. Because I owe this [***] Lukashenko. What kind of old is he to me? If he is my old man, then I mean his son? "

But then Sashin faded the drying - a bad policy, well, her. Is it a matter of relation. “I am a man, I need a woman for life. Take my signs with a rabbit - well, of course, I, and send me ... I don’t know where. I don’t drag a horseradish on these Internet. ”

- And if you become helpless? How then without a pension? - finally I ask.

- Like in the song: the main thing is that the member would stand and there is money! By the way, I read in a medical journal: for a man - if he, of course, does not abuse alcohol there, drugs - will stand as much as he lives.
