"Rossiyskaya Gazeta": Kursk is a city with a special history that cannot be broken. In its mood, it resembles Kursk in 1943, when heroic history was being made. Life goes on as usual, despite the troubled times. Store shelves are bursting with goods, prices have not jumped. No queues, no panic. The aroma of fresh cookies comes from the bakery. Flowers are sold, hairdressers are open, ATMs are giving out cash. Queues have appeared at military registration and enlistment offices - the number of people willing to defend the Motherland has increased several times. But the air raid siren is constantly howling. Any flying object, even a bird, makes you shudder. People live in constant tension. War and peace are intertwined in one knot. Many new faces: doctors, soldiers, volunteers who came here to help. The people here are somehow different: simple, straightforward, special.

RIA Novosti: The number of volunteers going to the SVO has increased sharply - this is a response to attempts to intimidate us. But there is also public mobilization: we are all equally under attack, hipsters and vatniks, the once said "Not one step back" applies to all of us. It is stupid to try to divide us into good and bad patriots. A guy in a fashionable T-shirt, drinking a smoothie on the veranda of a cafe, can be a fighter who came from the SVO on vacation. And glossy publications write about how to help people in the Kursk region - that means they are ours too, they understand everything. Even among the dehumanized emigrants there are those who say that rejoicing at the death of Russian people is an abomination. Everyone's eyes were opened at once. The world demonstratively ignores the suffering of the residents of the Kursk region, but we can handle it ourselves. The main task is not to start a witch hunt, as some turbopatriots do. War is knocking at our door, and we will win - if we are all together.
