Moscow municipal deputy Alexei Gorinov, who was sentenced to seven years in prison in a case involving “fakes” about the army, complained about the conditions of detention in Vladimir’s pretrial detention facility No. 1, his associates said.
Gorinov is alone in a cell where it is very cold because the windows are not closed. At the same time, the administration of the pretrial detention center does not provide the prisoner with a blanket. "There is no mattress. There is no hot water either. The toilet does not work. There is a mouse in the cell with which Alexei shares cookies," says a post by a support group for the political prisoner.
The pretrial detention center librarian does not give Gorinov books, claiming that he did not return one of them last time. According to the political prisoner's associates, this is not true. In addition, the investigator allowed Gorinov to call his wife, but the guards gave him only one attempt, during which he was unable to get through. After that, Gorinov was no longer allowed to call the phone.
"We demand that the Federal Penitentiary Service for the Vladimir Region respect the rights of prisoner Gorinov and provide him with proper conditions of detention," his associates said, noting that the relevant requests have already been sent. They also called for support for their complaint and for writing letters to Gorinov.
