In the office of the gynecologist of the city clinical hospital No. 21 in Ufa, a video surveillance camera was installed, one of the residents of the city who visited a medical institution said.
The video with the subscriber’s complaints on August 25 published a local UFA_RB telegram channel. In the video, the woman is outraged that the camera is installed directly opposite the chair where the doctor takes the patients.
The UFA_RB subscriber said that she got to the hospital two weeks ago, and when she entered the institution, she was given “Consent to the video”. At the same time, an employee of the hospital told her that the cameras are installed only in the corridor, says a resident of Ufa.
The head physician of the 21st hospital Radik Nadyrgulov said that “inaccurate information” about the removal of patients in the gynecologist’s office is spreading on social networks. At the same time, he confirmed that video surveillance cameras were installed in the passing areas and viewing rooms of the reception department, including in the gynecologist’s office.
According to him, the cameras were established “in order to ensure the safety of patients and personnel” in accordance with the Decree of the Government “On approval of the requirements for anti -terrorist protection of objects (territories)” of the Ministry of Health.
Nadyrgulov claims that the camera review excludes the possibility of removing the patient during the examination by the doctor, and access to the records is “tightly limited” and can only be provided by the decision of law enforcement agencies and the court. “Patients, when drawing up documentation, sign an informed warning about the video shooting for official purposes in the working rooms and zones of public stay,” the head physician said.
The Ministry of Health of Bashkortostan did not comment on the situation.
