The charges were still not put forward-but the founder of Telegram is still in custody

The France prosecutor’s office on August 26 issued an official press release in connection with the detention of the founder of Telegram Pavel Durov.

The department reported that Durov was detained on the evening of August 24 at the Le-Bourg Airport as part of a criminal investigation, which was launched on July 8 by the Cybercrime Council Department.

The investigation is carried out in relation to unidentified persons on 12 corpus delicti.

• Complicity in the administration of online platforms to ensure the possibility of illegal transactions.
• Refusal to provide information at the request of authorized bodies.
• Complicity in storing images of minor pornographic nature.
• Complicity in the spread of images of minor pornographic nature by an organized group.
• Complicity in drug distribution.
• Complicity in the distribution of hacker programs.
• Complicity in fraud, committed by an organized group.
• The creation of an organized group with the aim of committing crimes punishable by deprivation of liberty for a term of at least five years.
• Washing the money received as a result of the action of an organized criminal group.
• Provision of cryptographic services aimed at ensuring confidentiality, without compulsory declaration.
• Illegal provision of cryptography funds in excess of confidentiality necessary to ensure.
• Illegal import of cryptography tools in excess of confidentiality necessary to ensure.

Now Durov is interrogated by investigators. The investigative judge authorized the extension of its detention up to 96 hours, so the founder of Telegram can be left in custody until August 28.
