In the Moscow region, security forces dispersed the independent festival of self-organization and contemporary art "Inside Out". The creators of the project reported this on social networks.
The festival was scheduled for August 24 and 25. The organizers sent the location manually to those who bought tickets a few days before the event.
On Saturday evening, August 24, police officers arrived at the festival site. The security forces demanded that they leave the site immediately, threatening to call a special squad. The reason for the visit was given as " an unauthorized mass event ." As a result of negotiations, the police agreed to give the festival participants four hours to pack up and leave. The security forces did not detain the participants and organizers of the event.
" Thank you to everyone who helped to get people, infrastructure, and things out of the forest. Thank you to everyone who helped each other and self-organized at the festival at a critical moment. Thank you to everyone for your support and warm words," the team's statement reads.
