“Provocative stuffing on the part of Igor Ivanovich’s enemies.” Girkin-Strelkov's defense denied information about his being sent to war

The SHOT publication's report about the release and sending of Igor Girkin-Strelkov to the war in Ukraine was denied by a representative of his defense in a commentary to Important Stories.

He said that work is underway to release the client, but now this is “premature information that does not have any documentary evidence.”

“This is just a provocative stuffing on the part of Igor Ivanovich’s enemies, started in order to prevent his exit from the colony. There are a lot of people among the compradors who hate him because he tells the truth,” said Girkin-Strelkov’s defense.

The release is also denied by the wife of the former Minister of Defense of the DPR, Miroslava Reginskaya. “I emphasize that at the moment there is no information about the possibility of sending him to the front, and his ‘extremist’ article does not suggest such a possibility,” she said.

Earlier, SHOT reported that Girkin-Strelkov’s prison sentence was replaced with military service - the lawyers allegedly obtained “permission from all relevant departments.”

In January, the former Minister of Defense of the DPR received four years for calling for extremism. According to the law, those convicted of extremist crimes cannot go to the front.
