The Investigative Committee of Russia opened a criminal case against Major General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Dmitry Krasilnikov, commander of the North operational command forces, the press service of the department said.

The Russian investigation believes that Krasilnikov is "involved in the commission of crimes in the Kursk region." He is suspected of nine articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, including in the attack, murder and illegal crossing of the Russian border.

According to investigators, under the leadership of Krasilnikov, the military Armed Forces of Ukraine on August 6 illegally crossed the border of the Russian Federation, inflicted missile strikes and attacked the drones of the house, cars and civilian infrastructure.
