The Investigative Committee of Russia opened a criminal case against Major General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Dmitry Krasilnikov, commander of the North operational command forces, the press service of the department said.
The Russian investigation believes that Krasilnikov is "involved in the commission of crimes in the Kursk region." He is suspected of nine articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, including in the attack, murder and illegal crossing of the Russian border.
According to investigators, under the leadership of Krasilnikov, the military Armed Forces of Ukraine on August 6 illegally crossed the border of the Russian Federation, inflicted missile strikes and attacked the drones of the house, cars and civilian infrastructure. In addition, the UK claims, the Ukrainian military mined the roads “to prevent the evacuation of the civilian population” from the combat operations.
“As a result of the criminal actions of Krasilnikov, a significant number of civilians were killed and wounded, residential buildings and civil infrastructure facilities, and vehicles were destroyed and damaged. In addition, civilians living in the Kursk region were forced to leave their permanent residence, ”the department said.
In Russia, the general was put on the wanted list. The Russian court arrested him in absentia.
