Vladimir Putin announced plans to 10 times increase the release of drones in 2024. He told about this at a meeting of the military-industrial commission of the Russian Federation after a visit to one of the enterprises on the production of drones-the "Special Technological Center".

“In just 2023, about 140 thousand unmanned vehicles of various types were delivered to the Armed Forces. This year, the release of drones is planned to be increased significantly, and to say more precisely - almost 10 times, ”Putin said.

The line of unmanned systems is expanding and emergency boats are created, he added. According to him, most of such weapons will be sent to the troops that are on the front line in Ukraine.

I emphasize: we need to completely close the needs of the armed forces, and for this-consistently increase the production of unmanned equipment, increase its tactical and technical characteristics (including actively introducing elements of artificial intelligence, which I already spoke about), constantly modernize taking into account combat experience.
