Telegram will transmit the police numbers and IP-open police

Telegram will be disclosed to law enforcement agencies of different countries of the phone numbers and IP addresses of users for legal requests. This was announced by the owner of the messenger Pavel Durov.

According to him, "Search for Telegram is intended to find friends and news, and not to promote illegal goods." He believes that these measures "must scare away criminals."

Durov also stated that now there is an AI-Bot in the messenger who monitors the “problematic content” in the search and removes it. The businessman urged users to leave complaints about such publications.

From the words of Durov it follows that users will be transferred, including the Russian police and special services. In 2018, Telegram sued the FSB after imposing almost a million rubles of fines for the messenger for refusing to provide a special service access to user data. Durov called this demand anti -constitutional.

Now, to transfer data, representatives of the messenger require only a “legally justified request”.

Among other things, the FSB demanded from the messenger to transfer the so -called encryption keys that would allow access to personal correspondence of users. Then Durov said that this is technically impossible because of a system that regularly updates the keys to an unpredictable algorithm.

Four days later, the court charged him, most of which boils down to the fact that with the help of the Telegram messenger, serious crimes are committed, and the platform administration refuses to cooperate with French law enforcement agencies.
• At the same time, Durov was released under court supervision demanding to make a deposit of five million euros. A businessman is prohibited from leaving France. Twice a week he is obliged to be celebrated in a police station.
