Russian troops attacked a market in the center of Kherson, killing seven people and injuring eight people, said the head of the Kherson regional military administration, Alexander Prokudin. “Retail outlets where Kherson residents bought or sold products in the morning were hit,” the official said. Artillery strikes targeted a local market and a public transport stop.
“It is currently known that seven civilians were killed as a result of the shelling - three women and four men. Three citizens were also injured, they are being provided with qualified medical care,” Prokudin said. He later added that the number of victims had increased to eight people.
On the night of October 1, Russia attacked Ukraine with 32 drones, 29 UAVs were destroyed, and three more drones were locally lost as a result of electronic warfare.
As UNIAN 27 wrote earlier, the Russian army attacked the Odessa region with drones, as a result of which three people were killed and more than ten more were injured. Russian drones hit the residential sector, damaging private and apartment buildings, buildings and cars. As a result of the attack, several fires broke out, three people died, and 14 people were injured, including three children - two boys aged 3 and 13 and a 14-year-old girl.
A pre-trial investigation is being conducted in criminal proceedings into violations of the laws and customs of war.
