5.6 million Burger King customers were leaked to the network

The public domain was 5.6 million lines of the merged personal information of users of the mobile application of the Fastfood network "Burger King". This was reported by analysts of Darknet Dlbi.

Information about their names, phones, email addresses, date of birth, field, city, as well as on dates of orders and favorite user dishes.

In total, 5.6 million lines in six years from May 31, 2018 to August 25, 2024 got into the network. One line is most often devoted to one person.

This is not the first time when user information is merged. The last major leak was in August by the FSB border service. For six months of 2024, data on 140 million unique mobile numbers of Russians, as well as 46 million unique e-mail addresses, flowed on the Internet. Most leaks were in the e-commerce sector, 16% of the data flowed from retail, and 10% with information and entertainment resources.

The financial sector remains the leader in terms of flowing data. For six months from financial companies, more than 80 million records were leaked to open access. One of the largest leaks in the first half of 2024 was the Robo.finance incident, due to which 2 million lines of data from the MFI MFIs and about 6 million customers of the MFI “Money” got into open access.

In August 2024, it became known that the FSB border service database on people who crossed the Russian border with other countries from 2014 to 2023 flowed into the network.
