In Kyiv, employees of the military registration and enlistment office conducted a raid to check documents after the Ocean Elzy concert.

Employees of the TCC (territorial recruitment center, analogous to the military registration and enlistment office) together with the patrol police staged a raid to check documents after the concert of the group “Okean Elzy” at the Sports Palace, Hromadske reports.

After the performance ended, several dozen TCC employees and police officers were waiting for spectators on the street, the publication writes. Those leaving were checked for military registration documents; several men were detained and taken to the TCC. Several others were given summonses and released, journalists on the ground reported.

“Hromadske” notes that during martial law, which is in force in Ukraine, law enforcement officers can demand military registration documents from those liable for military service and check whether the person has updated his data according to the law on mobilization. If it turns out that a person liable for military service is wanted by the TCC, he can be taken to the military registration and enlistment office.

• In May 2024, a new law on mobilization came into force in Ukraine, which lowered the draft age for mobilization from 27 to 25 years, and required all men aged 18 to 60 to update their military registration data. In addition, until the end of martial law, men in Ukraine are required to carry military registration documents and present them upon request to military registration and enlistment office employees and police officers. Men under 25 years of age who are recognized as fit for military service are not mobilized, but called up for military service. Only those who have completed military service in peacetime or graduated from a higher military educational institution and received a military specialty can be mobilized at this age.
