US President Joe Biden said he has instructed Donald Trump to give "whatever he needs" in response to his campaign's request for additional protection measures due to threats from Iran.
At the briefing, a reporter asked Biden whether he would approve the Trump campaign's request to use military aircraft in the final stages of his campaign.
“Unless he requests F-15 [fighters]. I told the [Secret Service] department to provide everything he needed, just like a sitting president. Give him whatever he needs, if it falls into that category, that’s fine,” Biden responded .
Earlier, The New York Times and The Washington Post reported that the campaign and associates of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, fearing threats to his life and safety from Iran, requested additional protective measures, including military aircraft, bulletproof glass and expanded flight restrictions over Trump's residences and rallies.
