In Tyumen, the Ministry of Internal Affairs checks men who decided to independently monitor order in the city. The case is engaged in the counteraction department of extremism.
“In recent weeks, frames with people in camouflage, balaclavas have surfaced on social networks. They talk to people, use power. They have no right to do this, the facts are checked for the presence of signs of extremism, ”said Yevgeny Kozlov, deputy head of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs.
According to him, the activities of the combatants, who officially help the security forces to patrol the streets, are strictly regulated, and all participants are registered as volunteers. Those who are conducted in relation to the audit are not in voluntary folk squads.
“I can’t regard it otherwise than a PR action. It’s just that some people and associations are trying in this way to propyment themselves, ”Kozlov said.
Despite the fact that the Ministry of Internal Affairs did not name specific names and organizations that are subject to verification, most likely, we are talking about the “Russian community”. Only a few days ago, her activists reported patroling Tyumen streets.
The “Russian community” is a Russian public movement that positions itself as a patriotic association aimed at strengthening traditional values and protecting the interests of Russians. In 2020, it was founded by the former coordinator of the “For Life” movement, Evgeny Chesnokov, ex-seeker-speaker of the Omsk City Council Andrei Tkachuk and Andrey Afanasyev, a journalist who previously worked on the TV channels “Spas” and “Tsargrad”
. Also, the New Gazeta and the BBC wrote about the possible relations of the organization with the founder of Constantinople Konstantin Malofeev.
The “Russian community” often conducts raids in places of mass accumulation of migrants, claiming that he is fighting illegal immigrants and crime. The organization spreads nationalist ideas and focuses on "traditional Russian values." At the same time, the “community” itself denies any accusations of this and states that it is only engaged in maintaining order.

In Tyumen, the “Russian community” patrolled streets and public places. For example, on October 1, activists " put things in order in the Gagarinsky park, having detained drug couriers and layers." They distributed a video in which local residents allegedly violating the law were filmed. At the same time, the voice of the operator was changed, and the people themselves are not visible.
“There they found a whole group of persons who are systematically“ working ”with narcotic substances. With them, our brothers conducted an effective preventive conversation. The consequences of drug use were explained to the layers and their “clients”. And after the conversation, they handed them to law enforcement officers for further proceedings, ”the community said.
On July 2, in Tyumen, a brawl occurred between groups of young people, in which the “Russian community” denies the participation. According to local media, the conflict began due to the fact that one Tyumen took another car, or because two young people tried to attract the attention of the same girl. As a result, as 72.ru writes , representatives of Azerbaijani youth and activists of the “Russian community” collided with the Hypermarket “Okay”, after which “one of the hinters took out a traumatic gun and fired”. Activists say : "The rowky confirmed that they are not related to the" Russian community "."
In September, the organization spread information that in one of the local gardens the child of migrants allegedly beats “Russian children”.
“The young brawl from the family of guests from the south regularly beat peers to blood. The parents of the children claim that he beat them in the face and in the stomach, including girls, strangled them, urinated them, called them “pigs of pigs”, and also demonstrated gestures of cutting the throat. He even fought with the teacher, ”the post said.
Parents of local children turned to the “community” for help, and when activists talked about the situation in social networks, the head of the UK Alexander Bastrykin appointed an audit in a preschool institution. As a result, the boy’s parents had to take him from this kindergarten.
Another time, activists conducted a “convincing and intelligible conversation” with an electrician who took payment from the “Russian sister”, but poorly completed the work. After such a “conversation”, the man “promised to do everything in the best possible way and even agreed to a short discount.”

The activities of the Russian community ZOV are not limited to Tyumen. This year, the organization held several noticeable and scandalous actions in various cities of Russia. For example, in Yekaterinburg, they participated in mass raids to identify illegal migrants. During the raid on the market, they allowed local residents to take fruits from the shops of scattering sellers. In the videos, activists put foreigners on their knees, and also held “educational conversations” with them.
In the Rostov region, the Russian community organized an action against representatives of Roma. Activists detained and interrogated them, accusing them of crimes. It all started with a conflict between two teenagers.
“[After this] a camp burst into the school, shouted that they wanted Russian blood,” said the father of one of the schoolchildren, to whom the attackers allegedly damaged the car.
After the activists “talked” with Roma representatives, they returned the money for the damaged car and apologized. The “Russian community” claims: their “brothers” explained to the security forces that “the community works exclusively in the legal field and there would be no self -guess over the Taborians”.
In St. Petersburg, the Russian Community could not find a common language with Dagestan taxi drivers. Activists accused the drivers of violation of the law and order, they called the police in response. The security forces detained several participants in the conflict for petty hooliganism. In response, the “Russian community” appealed to Bastrykin for support, as a result, the UK opened a criminal case on the group exceeding official powers.
