In Moscow, near the building of the Prosecutor General's Office, Vera Shikhova was again detained, who regularly holds single pickets demanding social support for her son, a miner, who was injured at work. She herself reported this to OVD-Info.
The woman was taken to the Tverskoy district police department. It is not yet known what offense she is charged with.
The son of a picketer, Alexander Shikhov, was injured in an accident at the Ziminka mine in Prokopyevsk in 2010. The young man suffered spinal fractures, a traumatic brain injury, ruptured knee ligaments, and a prolapsed hernia. In addition, Shikhov suffered a stroke and subsequently developed brain damage. Despite this, he is not reimbursed for treatment costs or provided with financial support due to loss of ability to work.
Vera Shikhova regularly goes on pickets demanding that he be provided with social support. She began carrying out her actions more than ten years ago, and was repeatedly detained by police. The last time she was detained was on October 1, and before that on September 24 .
