The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan said that the detained in Astana and transferred by the Russian military, deserter Kamil Kasiev allegedly asked to deport him to Russia. Kasimov left Russia to Kazakhstan in May 2023 during a vacation in the service. Less than a year later, Kazakh and Russian security forces detained it. On the same day, Kasimov was taken by car in Priozersk in Kazakhstan, where he was interrogated in a criminal case.

There is a Russian military unit and the 496th military department of the SK. Later Kasimov was taken to Omsk.

They could not officially expel him from Kazakhstan, since he was charged with a military crime - they are not extradition. He also requested political asylum in the country.

However, today the Ministry of Internal Affairs announced deportation: in Kazakhstan he was accused of violating migration legislation. The department said that during the court the soldier allegedly asked for deportation. The deportation message came out after Kasimov was sent to the colony. When and under what circumstances the court took place in the case of violation of migration laws, it is unclear.
