Drones attacked Chechnya for the first time

The roof of the building of the Russian University of Special Forces in Gudermes caught fire on the morning of October 29 after a drone attack, said the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov.

According to Ramzan Kadyrov , the building is empty, so no one was injured in the attack, and the fire was extinguished. According to the Agency, the damaged structure is the main building of the university.

Ukrainian publications NV and Kyiv Post, citing sources in the security services, reported that the attack was related to the conflict between Ramzan Kadyrov and Senator Suleiman Kerimov over the Wildberries marketplace.

In response to the drone attack, Kadyrov said that he “gave the order not to take [the Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers] prisoner, to destroy them and to intensify the fight by 100%.”

Since February 2024, the Special Forces University in Gudermes has been named after Vladimir Putin . The production of drones has been launched there since April.
