In the UK, a strong fire occurred at the shipyard of atomic submarines BAE Systems.

Two people are hospitalized with suspicion of smoke poisoning. The police said that "there is no nuclear danger," but recommended residents to stay at home, close the windows and doors until the fire is extinguished. The nearby bridge was blocked for car travel.

A tanned workshop with an area of about 2.4 hectares is the second largest indoor shipbuilding complex of this kind in Europe. All employees were evacuated from it.

In this workshop, four Dreadnought class submarines are being built, which in the 2030s should replace the current Vanguard class submarines. The seventh Astute class for the Royal Fleet is also built there.

After the fire report, the BAE Systems shares on the morning of October 30 fell 1.25%, reports The Guardian.
