The Izmailovsky District Court of Moscow arrested in absentia blogger Daria Bogdanova, known under the nickname “Ashes of Klaas,” who is accused of calling for terrorism (Part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code). This was reported by Mediazona, which drew attention to the meeting card on the website of the Moscow courts.
Yesterday Bogdanova was included in the list of “terrorists and extremists” of Rosfinmonitoring.
The criminal case against the blogger became known in the spring. Telegram channel “NO to extremism!” claimed that he was aroused because of Bogdanova’s interview with “one of the Ukrainian channels”, in which she “stated that a nuclear strike should be launched on Moscow, called for sponsorship of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and repeatedly spoke negatively about the Russian army.”
ASTRA wrote that the case was opened because of debates between Bogdanova and Oleg Kashin on the YouTube channel of the publication “Kholod”, in which the investigator saw “calls for violence against government officials.”
In May, Bogdanova’s name appeared in the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs search database. In July, she was included in the list of “foreign agents.”
The blogger lives abroad and collaborates with the Freedom Birds for Ukraine project, which raises money for the Ukrainian army and the civilian population of Ukraine.
