Artist Lyudmila Razumova, convicted because of her posts on Odnoklassniki, is denied medical care in IK-5, Tver Region. RusNews drew attention to the letter that the woman gave to the support group.
Razumova said that her heart often hurts. The woman was brought to an appointment with therapist Vladimir Kapitonov, where they took a cardiogram and compared it with last year. According to the artist, the new cardiogram turned out to be “very violent and violent.” But the doctor stated that “sometimes the cardiogram is different in the morning and in the evening” and he conducted the examination only because he was “told.”
Kapitonov also assured that the woman’s pain when inhaling was not because of her heart, but because of her pectoral muscles, and did not make any prescriptions.
Razumova also told the doctor about back pain. She explained that a week ago a paramedic was called to her punishment cell, who said that this could be caused by “inflammation of some root.” To this, the doctor stated that he “also sometimes has back pain” and he is “also a human being” and that with such pain a woman could neither sit nor lie.
The woman explained that she experienced the same pain a month ago, when at an appointment with Kapitonov she could not sit on a chair. Then the doctor refused to give her sick leave. Razumova had to go to work in a sewing factory, despite the pain, since refusal to work is considered a “gross violation” and could result in a “straight path to a punishment cell” for her. “So you weren’t convincing, and I didn’t believe you,” Kapitonov replied.
The doctor did not make any prescriptions for the woman.
“I left and didn’t talk about the sickest person. I thought I’d say something about the veins as the most important thing,” the artist added.
In March 2022, Razumova, together with her then-husband , Alexander Martynov, was sent to a pre-trial detention center as suspected of spreading “fakes” about the Russian army based on political hostility (clause “d”, part 2 of article 207.3 of the Criminal Code).
Razumova was charged with six entries in Odnoklassniki with a video that talked about the shelling of civilians in Ukraine and destroyed cities by the Russian army. In particular, in some of them the military of the Russian Federation was called “racists” and “vata-fascists”. Martynov was also charged with posting about the Russian invasion on the same social network.
Later, the ex-spouses were accused of vandalism (Part 2 of Article 214 of the Criminal Code). According to investigators, they left the inscriptions “Putler kaput”, “Ukraine, forgive us”, “Peace for Ukraine” and “Putin is war”, as well as stencil pictures “in the form of a merger of V.V. Putin and A. Hitler” in villages in the Tver region.
In January 2023, the prosecutor requested 7.5 years in prison for each of the defendants. However, in February, the court resumed the judicial investigation in the case: Razumova, who had previously admitted guilt, stated that she did not consider the videos she published about the deaths of civilians in Ukraine to be “fake”. In March 2023, the court sentenced her to seven years in a general regime colony, and the artist’s ex-husband to six and a half years. In May of the same year, this sentence was approved .
In July 2023, Razumova was transferred to IK-5 in the Tver region. From that moment on, she was repeatedly placed in a punishment cell under various pretexts.
In mid-October, Lyudmila Razumova was sent to a cell-type facility (PKT) for three months, stating that after serving her time in the PKT, she would be transferred to the SUS . On October 22, the woman was again placed in a punishment cell for 14 days. According to Razumova, at the disciplinary commission she was “accused of insulting the ‘honor and dignity’ of the previous commission.”
On November 19, Lyudmila Razumova was transferred to the prison hospital, her lawyer from OVD-Info reports.
This happened after Razumova had a nervous breakdown due to harsh conditions of detention, constant cold, hard work, back pain and refusal of treatment.
