The State Duma Committee on Budget and Taxes recommended refusing to increase special social payments to emergency doctors. Medvestnik writes about this with reference to Alexei Kurinny, a member of the Duma Committee on Health Protection.
“The situation in the ambulance is getting worse and worsening. I think it will force us to reconsider social payments, despite the government’s formal reluctance to do this,” Kurinny said.
We are talking about an amendment to the draft budget of the Federal Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund for 2025, which provided for an increase in social benefits for doctors who work in rural areas and small towns. According to Kurinny, its rejection was explained by the lack of calculations of the required amount.
At the same time, the amount was announced repeatedly: for these purposes, only 7 billion rubles are required in addition to the 167 billion rubles already provided for by the MHIF budget for 2025, Kurinny added.
In June 2024, the Ministry of Health recognized the existence of shortcomings in the financial support of ambulance services in most regions. The reason for the inspection was numerous complaints from doctors about low salaries and difficult working conditions.
About how much paramedics in the regions receive and what problems they face can be found in the material “We pump it out ourselves.”
