Culinary journalist and restaurateur Alexei Zimin died

Journalist, chef and restaurateur Alexei Zimin died in Belgrade at the 53rd year of life. He was known as the creator of the magazine "Poster Food", the author of culinary programs on Russian television and books about cooking.

Journalist Roman Loshmanov announced the death of Zimin, the information confirmed the information "Poster". The circumstances of the incident are not reported.

According to unofficial data, the Russian was found dead on Tuesday evening in the apartment, which he rented days earlier. The door was opened by the owner worried that Zimin did not answer calls, the BLIC publication says. The Dressie notes that Alexei Zimin had a wound on his head.

Zimin was born in Dubna in 1971. He was the deputy chief editor of the Magazine "Poster", the editor -in -chief of "Afisha Food" and "Poster Mir", Russian versions of GQ and Gourmet magazines, wrote for the newspapers "Kommersant and Vedomosti".

He conducted culinary programs on the channels "Home", NTV and STS. He launched several famous restaurants in Moscow, including Raga and House 12. In 2015, the GQ magazine in Russia recognized Zimin as a man of the year.

Zimin sharply condemned Russia's invasion of Ukraine. In May 2022, he wrote on his Instagram that, due to his anti-war position, his transfer to NTV was closing. “Do I regret it? No, I regret that we were participants in the war,” Zimin wrote. He moved to London, where he opened the restaurant of Russian cuisine ZIMA and released the magazine of the same name.

In Belgrade, Zimin on November 7 conducted a presentation of his book "Anglomania" and an author's dinner.
