In the three areas of the Orenburg region, the "extraordinary situation" was introduced, allowing to kill all homeless dogs - even sterilized and with tags. Attention was paid to this by the "cedar".

The “extraordinary situation” regime in the Orenburg region came up with, after the ban on the Constitutional Court, to kill ownerless dogs - except for “cases of their danger to man”. The Orenburg regime implies that dogs will be caught, placed in temporary detention points and euthanize if they are not found the owner. The mode will act for at least three months.

According to the lawyer, with whom the “cedar” spoke, there are no real grounds for introducing the “extraordinary situation” regime: it was created by the authorities artificially.

“Firstly, to kill all the dogs. Secondly, apparently, to master budget funds. I do not exclude that someone really wants to earn a lot on this, because there is no objective danger in the region,” said the interlocutor of Kedra. He suggests a regime introduced in the areas of the Orenburg region.

• Against the bill allowing the murder of homeless animals, zoo defenders, public and cultural figures actively opposed. In dozens of cities of Russia, protests were held, in Moscow protesters gathered several times near the building of the presidential administration. More than 140 thousand people signed a petition against the law.
• Federal law still provides for a program to handle homeless animals (capture - sterilization - vaccination - return). The zoo defenders investigated the practice of its application and found out that if you do not abduct budget funds allocated for OBVV, then the program works.
