USA imposed sanctions against Gazprombank

The US Treasury imposed sanctions against Gazprombank and Dom.RF Bank. In addition, Washington has about 10 more banks on the sanctions list.

The Gazprombank is acted by a general license, which allows the dipecoles of Russia abroad to conduct operations with the participation of the bank.

Sanctions against Gazprombank can lead to a disconnection from SWIFT. In addition, the bank has Union Pay operating abroad.

The Ministry of Finance says that Russia uses the bank to purchase military equipment to continue the war against Ukraine and transfer payments to the Russian military.

Gazprombank and Dom.rf are included in the ten Russian credit organizations in terms of assets.

The first deputy representative of the Central Bank Dmitry Tulin and Vladimir Chistyukhin, the head of the Department of the National Payment System of the Central Bank Alla Bakina and the head of the Department of Sustainability of the financial system Elizaveta Danilova, also fell under the sanctions.

• Gazprombank is under sector restrictions on the United States and the European Union. In particular, the bank cannot receive long -term financing.
