Major regional telegram channels and media began publishing videos of a simulated nuclear strike on Russia on Tuesday afternoon. The publications claim that it was allegedly published by the American media as a response to Moscow’s attack on Ukraine with the Oreshnik experimental weapon. In fact, this is an excerpt from a video about the destructiveness of nuclear strikes from the English-language YouTube channel Science Time. In addition to the strike on Moscow, the video also simulated attacks on Beijing, Washington, San Francisco and New York.

Details . In the video being distributed (No. 1), an English-speaking speaker talks about how badly Moscow would be damaged if it were hit by an American Trident II nuclear bomb. One of the first to publish it on Tuesday was the leader of the “Male State” Vladislav Pozdnyakov (680 thousand subscribers). In the post, he wrote that the video was being distributed by American media in response to the “test” of Oreshnik.

  • ️ Following Pozdnyakov, Russian regional media began posting videos - “This is Rostov News” (more than 1 million Telegram and VKontakte subscribers), “Rostov Main” (185 thousand), “Tin of Krasnodar” (111 thousand) and “Notepad Russia” (246 thousand). All channels reported that the video is a response to the launch of Oreshnik.
  • The video was also posted by the blogs “Operation Z” (434 thousand), “Hammer” (200 thousand), “Tucker Carlson for Russia” (165 thousand) and “Gossip Girl” (174 thousand). Since Monday, this video has also been distributed by large Uzbek telegram channels Bugungi Gap (1.4 million), Tezkor Uzbekistan (1.1 million) and Oper UZ (970 thousand).
  • ️ The primary source of the video is the popular science YouTube channel Science Time (about 1 million subscribers). The channel publishes scientific videos about space, artificial intelligence, virtual reality, biology, genetics and philosophy. In the past few months, the Science Time channel has posted a series of videos about nuclear weapons.
  • ️ The excerpt distributed on Russian social networks is taken from a channel video in which the power of the five most destructive nuclear bombs in the world is analyzed using the example of attacks on specific cities around the world. The authors of the video “dropped” the American B-83 and Trident II bombs on Beijing (more than 1.5 million victims) and Moscow (2.7 million victims). They sent the Chinese DF-5C bomb to Washington (1.3 million victims). According to the channel, the most serious consequences were those of the Russian R-36 “Satan” and RS-28 “Sarmat” - the film simulated their strike on San Francisco (1 million victims) and New York (7 million victims).
  • ️ The video ends with the words that a nuclear war is not beneficial to anyone. “But the real problem is not who has the biggest bomb, but that this weapon is never used, because in a nuclear war there will be no winners, and the world will remain in ruins, where everyone loses,” says the voiceover voice.
