“Orthodox blogger” and participant in the war in Ukraine Claud Rommel was arrested in the case of rape of a 10-year-old girl

The Krasnogvardeysky District Court of St. Petersburg arrested the “Orthodox blogger”, participant in the war in Ukraine Claud Rommel, in the case of rape of a 10-year-old girl. Fontanka reports this.

It is not specified how long Rommel was detained. A criminal case was initiated against him under articles of rape of a minor (clause “b”, part 4, article 131 of the Criminal Code) and violent acts of a sexual nature (clause “b”, part 4, article 132 of the Criminal Code).

Cloud Rommel was detained on September 30th. According to investigators, from September 2022 to February 2024, the blogger systematically raped the girl who lived with him. He himself claims that he gave the child a massage.

The girl’s godmother filed a police report against Rommel in the spring of 2024. After the security forces began an investigation, the blogger left for the war in Ukraine. There he was wounded, after which he returned home. Soon after this, the blogger was detained.

On October 3, the Krasnogvardeysky District Court of St. Petersburg refused to arrest the investigators, choosing a preventive measure for Claud Rommel in the form of observation by the command of a military unit in Luga, Leningrad Region. At the trial, Rommel did not admit guilt. The process took place behind closed doors.

Cloud Rommel maintains a video blog on YouTube, in which he talks about Orthodoxy and publishes videos from the front. About 7.2 thousand people are subscribed to the channel.
