The Central District Court of Krasnoyarsk sentenced local resident Ekaterina Fatyanova to two years of forced labor in the case of repeated discrediting of the Russian army (Part 1 of Article 280.3 of the Criminal Code). This was reported by her lawyer from OVD-Info.
This is exactly the time limit the prosecution requested last week.
The case became known at the end of January. Fatyanova was charged with distributing the newspaper “Workers' and Peasants' SICKLE AND HAMMER” in the Teatralnaya Square area of Krasnoyarsk on May 9 last year. The security forces considered that the material entitled “Reflections on the Nature of Imperialism” discredits the armed forces.
In December 2022, the woman was fined 30 thousand rubles under a similar administrative article on discrediting the army (Part 1 of Article 20.3.3 of the Administrative Code), then she was charged with posting anti-war leaflets. This gave the security forces a reason to initiate a criminal case.

Those involved in “anti-war cases” are often charged with hooliganism, vandalism, violence against government officials, and other violations. A significant element of pressure was also the articles introduced into the Criminal Code after the outbreak of hostilities - the spread of “fakes” about the Russian army and discrediting the armed forces.
