On May 30, the 2nd Eastern District Military Court sentenced Olga Krasnova, a resident of the Altai Territory, to a fine of 330 thousand rubles in the case of justifying terrorism on the Internet (Part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code). She herself told OVD-Info about this.
Krasnova was charged with publications from 2023, where she spoke about the activities of the Russian Volunteer Corps and the Freedom of Russia Legion. So, in May, she posted a post on Odnoklassniki: “Since yesterday, there is no longer any doubt about the real existence of such units as the Russian Freedom Legion and the Russian Volunteer Corps (RDK). Citizens of Russia, with arms in hand, risking their own lives, are fighting for another Russia, free from the current regime. Since yesterday, a new bright page has been opened in modern Russian history - the transition of the armed opposition of the Putin regime to active open actions on the territory of the Russian Federation itself, and the topic of the existence of “good Russians” has also been closed. We are happy to follow what is happening and wish them every success in their struggle.”
She later published two more similar posts.
On February 6 of this year, security forces came to search Krasnova’s apartment. Her phone and laptop were confiscated, she was taken for questioning, and then released on her own recognizance. The woman says that during the consideration of the criminal case she was twice sent for a psychological and psychiatric examination.
