
Nailya Allahverdieva is leaving her position as art director of the PERMM Museum of Contemporary Art in Perm, Kommersant writes . Allahverdinova stated that she was connected with Perm by working at the museum.
“I don’t see any prospects outside of it,” said the former director.
On November 21, searches took place in PERMM. They were allegedly connected with a criminal case against gallery owner Marat Gelman**. Then a message appeared on the museum’s social networks that the museum was temporarily closed “for technical reasons.” Searches, as it turned out later, also took place at Allahverdieva’s addresses.
The first time the museum was searched was this spring, on March 12 . The investigative actions were then connected with the criminal case against the actionist Pyotr Verzilov**.
Nailya Allahverdieva has headed PERMM since 2019.
