
The Aleksandrovsky Court of the Stavropol Territory found seven residents of Dagestan guilty of participating in mass riots (Part 2 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and violating transport safety rules (Part 3 of Article 263.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), reports the press service of the regional prosecutor's office. Another defendant was also convicted under the article on the use of violence against a police officer (Part 1 of Article 318 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
Among those convicted are Zhanmirza Aliyev, Ali Amirkhanov, Alimurat Babatov, Zapir Batyrbekov, Ramazan Karnaev, Ismail Salmakhanov, Makhach Tuchuev. On October 29, 2023, “on the basis of national and religious hatred and hostility towards the citizens of Israel, refusing to comply with the legitimate demands of law enforcement officers, they took part in mass riots, accompanied by violence and destruction of property,” the prosecutor’s office said.
Rioters destroyed and damaged airport property worth more than 24 million rubles, the prosecutor's office said. 23 police officers received injuries of varying severity.
