Suspicions about a possible attempt to poison Elena Gordon, the mother of Vladimir Kara-Murza, were not confirmed. The politician himself announced this in his Telegram channel.

According to him, his mother was hospitalized in one of the Berlin clinics with suspicions of poisoning and a heart attack, but they were not confirmed. Doctors continue to examine the woman.

The Agency previously reported that Gordon was taken to the Berlin Charité clinic with signs of poisoning, citing two of Kara-Murza’s colleagues. They stated that the woman's initial test for poisoning showed a negative result. No other details of what happened were provided.

Berlin police said they were investigating the alleged attempted murder of Gordon. The department emphasized that the woman herself shared her assumptions about this. Doctors now conduct blood tests for all types of toxic substances.

According to a SOTA source, Gordon was taken to hospital, but not to the Charité, with cardiovascular problems.

Vladimir Kara-Murza himself survived two poisoning attempts - in May 2015 and February 2017. Because of this, his kidneys, lungs, heart and other organs failed; treatment took several months. In 2023, doctors diagnosed the politician with polyneuropathy of the lower extremities.

Despite this, the Investigative Committee refused to investigate the assassination attempts on Kara-Murza. The court also sided with the department.
