Today there is an open press conference of Vladimir Putin. The direct line began with the president pointing out to North Ossetia its “function” and “purpose” as a Russian outpost in the North Caucasus.

The economy, according to Putin, is developing “stably” in Russia. The President believes that wages “in real terms” have increased more than inflation. It is noted that “many questions” for the live broadcast with Putin come from the occupied territories. Putin notes that there is a “construction boom” there, and three hundred thousand people have allegedly returned to Mariupol.

During the direct line, Putin asked two people from the audience to come up and handed them the flag of the 155th Separate Marine Brigade.

Putin proposed an experiment to the West: select a site in Kyiv, concentrate air defense there, and the Russian military will send an Oreshnik missile to this point: “Technological duel. It will be useful for both us and the American side.” The President noted that he does not know why the rocket is called “Oreshnik”.

This is Putin's 21st direct line. This time it is held in combination with a press conference. Putin conducts direct lines every year, where he supposedly answers questions from citizens: ok. 46% of Russians in 2021 considered the event “window dressing” and indicated that they had become tired of it over the years.
