“He [Isla] was a loner, we never heard him talk about his life, he was helping out at the bar and it seemed like he was starting to fit in a little more. [The person in the image] doesn’t look 100% like him, it could be someone carrying firewood, we couldn’t imagine that there’s a dead body in the trunk in the photo,” they said.

The investigation into the disappearance of the Cuban man began in November 2023, when a 33-year-old relative of the man living in the town of Soria, the capital of the municipality, reported him missing.
