Five foreign students were expelled from the Northern State Medical University in Arkhangelsk. They turned to Vladimir Putin with a request to deal with the university who continued at the university with paying for training by the university and the deductions of the dissatisfied.
They published a video message to Putin on December 18. On it, a group of five Pakistani and Indian students says that university employees are still forcing them to pay for their studies through the RMEA (RUSSIAN MEDICAL EDUCATIONAL AGENCI), the activities of which Russian investigation called illegal back in 2023. Foreign students allegedly can enter the SSMU only through him. At the same time, the agency takes from them a fee is twice as high as the declared cost of training at a university. And dissatisfied with this, they are expelled under formal pretexts, which happened to the authors of the appeal.
As it became known to the North. Realiy, one of them refused to make a biology test due to a spelling error. He was called to the leadership, where they reported that the student was excluded and demanded to sign a document, not allowing him to get acquainted with it. When the student refused, they began to call him "mentally unhealthy." Now he is trying to appeal his deduction through the prosecutor's office.
Money for the next semester paid by an advance via RMEA is also refused to return him to return.
"[At the university] they demand that I leave Russia, supposedly then return [money]. The dean requires the same from me, claims that if I return to my homeland, I can restore me after that. I don’t understand what they want from me," he told his friends.
Last year, a case of an especially large scale was already initiated with respect to the SSMU rector of SSMU. Then two of his representatives were put under house arrest, the third - the adviser of the rector and part -time director of the RMEA offshore Alexander Fedotov - fled from Russia.
Despite this, the scheme for the fraud of students is still valid. In August of this year, 18 other foreign students were expelled from the university due to payment of payment from the university. But after wide publicity, they were restored.
"The actions of some of the university administration throw a shadow on friendly international relations between our countries," students say on Putin and ask him to pay attention to this issue.
