The court canceled the sentence from Kaliningrad Belaya and Sushkevich

In Moscow, the 1st appeal court abolished the sentence of Kaliningrad doctors Elena Bely and Elin Sushkevich, who in 2022 were sentenced to imprisonment in the case of the murder of the baby. This is stated in the card of the case, writes "Mediazona".

The materials of the criminal case will be sent for a new consideration to the Moscow Regional Court. Sushkevich and White still remain in custody.

In September 2022, the Moscow Regional Court sentenced doctors Sushkevich and white by 9 and 9.5 years in the case of the death of a premature baby in the hospital. According to the investigation, the baby was killed by the introduction of a dose of magnesium so as not to spoil the statistics of the hospital. In court, the doctors claimed that the child died due to severe lack of prematureness.

In December 2020, the court of the Kaliningrad Regional Court justified the doctors. However, later, at the request of the Prosecutor General’s Office, the verdict was canceled , and the consideration of the case was transferred to Moscow. The department explained the need to transfer the process to another region by possible actions in defense of doctors.

In Kaliningrad, the case received a wide public outcry, in support of the doctors, shares of doctors and patients were carried out. Almost one and a half thousand doctors from twenty Russian regions signed under the appeal of the President of Russia in defense of colleagues. They compared the case Sushkevich and Belaya with the "Doctors' Affairs" of 1953.
