Russian attack drones of the Shahed type attacked Kharkov on the evening of December 20, said the head of the regional military administration Oleg Sinegubov.
According to him, in the Kiev district of Kharkov, due to the fall of drone debris, the roof of a residential building caught fire, a gas pipeline was damaged, and two people were injured.
In the Saltovsky district of Kharkov, due to the Shahed strike, apartments on the first and second floors of a residential building caught fire, six people were injured.
In addition, due to the fall of drone debris in the village of Solonitsevka near Kharkov, the roof of a non-residential premises at a civilian enterprise caught fire.
In the city of Zaporozhye, as reported by the head of the regional military administration, Ivan Fedorov, a nine-story residential building was damaged due to falling debris from a drone, three women and a 12-year-old boy were injured. The child was hospitalized with a shrapnel wound to his leg.
The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the armed forces of the Russian Federation from 19:00 (20:00 Moscow time) on December 20 to 9:00 (10:00 Moscow time) on December 21 attacked the regions of Ukraine, using 113 Shahed-type drones and a missile fired from complex S-400.
According to the Ukrainian military, the attack began at 19:00 (20:00 Moscow time) on December 20. By 9:00 (10:00 Moscow time) the next day, the Ukrainian Armed Forces shot down 57 drones in Poltava, Sumy, Kharkov, Kyiv, Chernigov, Cherkassy, Zhytomyr, Khmelnitsky, Donetsk, Dnepropetrovsk and Zaporozhye regions. In addition, “due to active opposition” by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, 56 Russian drones were “lost in location.” They fell without causing any harm.
