Starting today, December 27, the Central Bank has changed the rules for calculating exchange rates and will begin to combine data from both the exchange and over-the-counter markets. “In the context of expanding volumes of over-the-counter transactions, this will increase the representativeness of official rates,” explains the Central Bank.
If direct rates are not available, calculated cross rates will be the official ones.
