The FSB reported on the detention of a Russian who, according to the intelligence service, was preparing attempts on the life of an officer and a military blogger

The FSB detained a Russian suspected of preparing terrorist attacks against a high-ranking serviceman of the Russian Ministry of Defense and a military blogger “covering the events of the Northern Military District.” This is stated on the website of the special service.

According to the department, the detainee acted on instructions from Ukrainian intelligence, with an employee of which he communicated via telegram.

The report claims that the Russian seized from a cache in the Moscow region a homemade explosive device with a capacity of about one and a half kilograms of TNT, “camouflaged as a portable music speaker.” Also, the suspect, according to the FSB, “conducted reconnaissance activities” in the places of residence of the officer and the blogger.

The names of the detainee, as well as those against whom, according to the intelligence service, an attack was being prepared, are not disclosed. It is noted that the suspect is cooperating with the investigation.

In the video published by the FSB, the man says that he was supposed to plant a bomb under the car of a “famous blogger” or under the gate of his house. Soon he received another task - to find in Moscow the car of a high-ranking military man, which was planned to be mined.
