UAVs attacked Rosneft oil depot in Lyudinovo

On the evening of January 17, the governor of the Kaluga region, Vladislav Shapsha, wrote that due to a UAV attack in the city of Lyudinovo, a fire occurred “on the territory of an industrial enterprise.” According to him, no one was injured. He later added that a total of seven UAVs were shot down over the region. The debris of one of them fell on a non-residential building, causing a fire that was extinguished.

The Shot telegram channel, citing local residents, reported that at around 22:00 local time several explosions were heard, after which a fire broke out in the area of ​​the local oil depot. The Kaluganefteprodukt oil depot, a subsidiary of Rosneft, is located in Lyudinovo. A video of a large fire, allegedly at an oil depot, appeared on telegram channels.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said that Ukrainian UAVs “successfully struck” a Rosneft enterprise in the Kaluga region, but more detailed information about the consequences of the attack is being clarified. “This oil depot is part of JSC Kaluganefteprodukt and is a logistics center providing units of the Russian armed forces directly involved in the war against Ukraine,” the press release said.

The head of the Tula region, Dmitry Milyaev, reported on a night attack by Ukrainian drones on the region in his Telegram channel. He wrote that as a result, a container of fuel and lubricants at one of the city’s enterprises caught fire. Two hours later, Milyaev reported that he had visited the scene of the fire and the “open burning” had been eliminated by that time. In total, five UAVs were shot down over the Tula region, the head of the region specified.

Shot claims that the drones tried to attack an enterprise near the Dedilovo station, as well as an oil depot near the town of Uzlovaya.

Drones also attacked the Voronezh and Smolensk regions

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that on the night of January 18, 46 drones were shot down: 18 over the Bryansk region, 11 over Kursk, seven over Kaluga, five over Tula, three over Belgorod and two over Voronezh.

In the Smolensk region, five Ukrainian UAVs were shot down in the Pochinkovsky district, Governor Vasily Anokhin said. According to him, there were no casualties or destruction. The Ministry of Defense report does not mention a drone attack on the Smolensk region.
