Italian Rosa Vespa and her Senegalese husband Aqua Moses kidnapped a newborn girl named Sofia. Vespa pretended to be pregnant for nine months, and on January 8 she wrote on social networks that she had given birth and named the child Ansel. No one saw the baby, but she explained this by the fact that he was in the hospital for examinations. This is reported by L'Unione Sarda.
On January 21, Vespa and Moses entered the Sacro Cuore clinic, put on medical masks and headed towards the maternity ward. There they knocked on the doors of women who had just given birth and, pretending to be health workers, asked if the baby needed to be washed.

So Vespa discovered a room in which only Valerie, who had become a mother, was located, as was newborn Sofia and her grandmothers. After Vespa took Sofia in her arms, under the pretext that the girl needed to be examined by a pediatrician, she took the child from the clinic and disappeared with him. After some time, Valerie began to worry and ask where her child had gone.
After the abduction was discovered, the police set up roadblocks throughout the city and began an investigation. They watched two recordings from CCTV cameras: one showed two people leaving the clinic with a child, the other showed footage from the street, which showed how the kidnappers got into an Alfa Romeo 147 car.
The police were quickly able to track down Vespa and Moses, but they didn't expect to see what was happening in their house: Vespa was throwing a party in honor of the birth of "Ansel", and the guests were surprised by the police's arrival. So, after just three hours, Sofia was returned to her real parents.

When she was returned, Valerie asked the police that Vespa and Moses "never go free." When asked if they would tell Sofia about what happened to her, the father, whose name was not given, replied that “later, when she grows up.”
