The 1st Western District Court in St. Petersburg sentenced the 76-year-old pensioner Galina Ivanov to ten years in a general regime colony in the case of arson of a car parked next to the military commissariat, writes Fontanka with reference to the United press service of city courts.
The woman was found guilty of a terrorist attack, which resulted in causing significant property damage (paragraph “c” of part 2 of statue 205 of the Criminal Code). She was assigned a minimum period for this article, notes Fontanka. The same punishment required the prosecution. Ivanov was taken into custody in the courtroom.
The publication 47.News writes that in 2023, scammers contacted Galina Ivanova, who lured money from her under various pretexts for a month and a half. In total, the pensioner sent to scammers more than half a million rubles. In November 2023, at their direction, she threw Molotov cocktail into a car, standing next to the military commissariat on the Fontanka embankment. The car was quickly extinguished, as a result of arson no one was injured. The pensioner was detained on the spot.
As Fontanka draws the attention of, after arson, another thing was instituted - about fraud, according to which Ivanova passes as the victim. The authors of the examination in the case “came to the conclusion that the victim has become the so -called“ Biodron ” - a person who thoughtlessly commits crimes in his homeland in the interests of another state,” the newspaper writes.
Ivanova herself in the last word reacted to the period that the prosecutor requested her: “It is clear that ten years of the colony for me is a deadly sentence. I won’t live there for ten days. ”
