The state of each of the ten richest people of the planet in 2024 grew an average of $ 100 million per day. This is three times faster than a year earlier, writes Oxfam. The total state of these people increased by two trillion US dollars. Even if an ordinary person put off a thousand dollars daily since the first representative of the first: NIC Homo sapiens people 315 thousand years ago, not: E, it would still not have as much money as one of the ten richest billionaires, the expert noted: Ki . Where does the state of super -rich come from?

Modern billionaire: ki often act in support of meritocracy The principle of management, according to which the most capable people should have power, regardless of their social status. . But according to the OXFAM study, they receive 60% of their wealth by corruption or due to their monopoly.
In 2023, for the first time in history, most billionaires: they inherited their fortune, and not thanks to entrepreneurship. According to the OXFAM report, right now there is a transfer of the largest hereditary wealth in history - and it is practically not taxed, because in the ⅔ countries there are no taxes on inheritance in a straight line. In 2024, a billionaire: KI received 36% of their state of inheritance.
We have no 315 thousand years, support us now, so that we continue to talk about how the power of the oligarchs harm the world.
Super -rich people are more in the corrupt and monopolized areas of the world economy. Oxfam estimated that 6% of the billionrower profit: he comes from corruption sources. The power of monopolies also enhances the extreme wealth and inequality around the world. Monopolistic corporations can control markets, establish conditions in cooperation with other companies and workers: tsami and introduce higher prices without significant risks for business. These strategies increase the state of super -rich.
Oxfam calculated that 18% of the wealth is billionaires: it was obtained thanks to monopolies. So, on Amazon, Jeff Bezos accounts for 70% or more online purchases in Germany, France, Great Britain and Spain. African billionaire Aliko Dangota became the richest man in Africa, taking possession of a monopoly on the processing of sugar and cement in Nigeria.

Back in the 2023 report, Oxfam predicted that for a decade the first dollar trillionaire will appear in the world. But according to the new report, during the same time, there may be as many as five trillionaires in the world.
In the colonial era, the Western empires extracted significant resources from the colonies. Oxfam calculated that from 1765 to 1900 the richest 10% of the UK residents received capital from India in the amount of 33.8 trillion dollars in the current equivalent.
However, sixty years after the end of this era, the world economy is still structured so that the wealth of the global south The regions of Latin America, Asia, Africa and Oceania are in the global south. This is one of the family of terms, including the “third world” and “periphery”, which denote the regions outside Europe and North America, mainly (although not all) with low incomes. They flow into the global north, or rather from an ordinary resident: the SIC of the Global South to the most wealthy people in the global north. So, in 2023, 1% of the richest countries of the Global North received $ 263 billion from the countries of the global south - more than $ 30 million per hour. In general, 68% of all billionroughs: they live in the world in the countries of the global north.
In 1791, slaves in Haiti led an uprising against France, as a result of which the country was freed from slavery and gained independence in 1804. However, even after that, Haiti had to borrow 150 million francs It is equivalent to 21 billion US dollars today. France has to compensate for damage to slave owners. 80% of this amount was paid to the richest of them. This marked the beginning of the cycle of debts and economic disasters, which still continue.
Now, countries with low and average income spending about 48% of their budgets on repaying debts to financial organizations that are based in New York and London. This share of expenses is much more than the budget of countries for education and healthcare, combined. Thus, inequality is reproduced: the worse the education and health of the new generation, the less opportunities for economic growth. Today, the average life expectancy in Africa is still 15 years shorter than in Europe.
Inequality is facilitated not only by neocolonial practices, but also by the actions of international institutions, which were created, among other things, to support the countries of the global south. The World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) were created 80 years ago, at the end of the colonial period, but they are still mainly ruled by rich countries. The G7 states still have 41% of the vote in the IMF and the World Bank, despite the fact that less than 10% of the world's population. The leaders of the World Bank and the IMF are selected by the United States and European countries. These international financial organizations have a huge impact on the global economy, in particular on a policy of expenses of poor countries.
So, during the Covid-19 pandemic in the global south, in 15 countries, almost 10 billion dollars from the budgets of salary in the state sector for servicing debt due to direct requirements of the IMF were withheld. This is equivalent to a decrease in more than three million jobs Teacher: NIC, doctor: Yin and medical workers: T, despite the growing need for these specialist: kach during the pandemic.
Transnational corporations that own monopolies continue to exploit labor in the global south. The supply chains and the export processing industry are, in fact, a modern form of colonial profit. Worker: Twi in them are faced with poor working conditions, the lack of the right to collective negotiations and minimal social protection. As a result, wages in the countries of the global south are 87–95% lower than in the countries of the Global North, for the work of equal qualifications.
Every day women 12.5 billion hours of unpaid work on care and care
Inequality clearly affects women. Every tenth woman in the world lives in extreme poverty, less than $ 2.15 212.11 rubles at the current course per day. Women who live in extreme poverty are 24.3 million more than men. Most women - for example, almost 90% of Africans - have no formal employment, which means that their labor rights are not protected in any way. Women in an informal economy are more often than men, find themselves at vulnerable workplaces, for example, in the role of home or helping family workers, according to the International Labor Organization (ILO).
At the same time, racialized Raciasalization is the process of categorizing people or groups as related to a specific race or have “racial” features. The term racialization emphasizes that the race and categorization on it are constructs that work differently in different societies. In this context, women who are faced with inhibition due to racialization from structures or other people. Women living in the countries of the Global South make a huge contribution to the world economy. Every day they perform approximately 12.5 billion hours of unpaid work on care and care. This work adds at least 10.8 trillion US dollars to the world economy.
The colonial past forms migration flows. Migrant: Ki accounts for about 15% of the population in North America and Europe and make a noticeable contribution to the labor force of the countries of the Global North. Migration depletes the countries of the global south, while taking Migranto: countries benefit from the influx of labor at a relatively low price, contrary to the aggressive rhetoric of the ultra -right. 19% of nurses and nips who arrived in the UK in the period from 2021 to 2023 were from countries experiencing an “acute shortage of healthcare frames”.
The data of the International Labor Organization indicate that the workers-migrant: CI in countries with a high income earn an average of about 12.6% less than citizens: ki.
“Super -fighting love to tell us that in order to get rich, we need skills, perseverance and hard work. But the truth is that most of the wealth goes, and not earned . Many of the so-called SELF-MADE “Making themselves”, that is, having achieved a high position thanks to work and talent. In fact, they are the heirs of huge states transmitted from generation to generation as a result of undeserved privileges. Inheritance billions of dollars inheritance are an insult to justice, which perpetuates the new aristocracy in which wealth and power remain in the hands of a few, ” said the executive director of Oxfam International, Amitabh Behar.
Oxfam believes that states should achieve a situation in which the wealth of 10% of the richest people would be no more than 40% of the poorest. According to the World Bank, the reduction of inequality is three times faster to reduce poverty.
One way to eliminate the phenomenon of super -rich is high taxes for billionaires: K. Moreover, such measures should become global so that the super -rich can not hide from taxes in countries with lower taxation. So, according to Oxfam, half a billionaire: they live in countries in which there are no taxes for transferring the state to direct heirs: Tsam.
To put an end to global inequality, it is necessary to cancel the debts of the countries of the global south and put an end to the power of the rich countries and corporations over financial markets and trading rules. To do this, you need to take measures against monopolies, introduce new regulations for corporations, as well as reform international institutions, such as the IMF and the World Bank, so that the countries of the global south are more rightly represented in them.
